::Trace Film Noir LUTs::
This collection of nine custom Film Noir LUTs are designed to provide a quick and easy way into the classic look of Film Noir, and give you the means to do so without using a single editing tool in your photographic or video editing software. For one price you get a set of LUT files which works in both video and photo editing programs. As you see from the full samples above, LUTs # 03, 07, 08, and 09 have slight tinting applied to the black & white treatments.
The sample examples above are the same as the first, but with an added base black & white adjustment in an editing program which mitigates the tinting in four of the LUTs. It’s an alternative way of using the Film Noir LUTs if you prefer the toning without the tints.
This video shows the Film Noir LUTs applied with and without a base black & white layer, and the difference the slight tinting offers. You should add a base black & white layer to a color image if you choose to use a Film Noir LUT at less than 100% intensity / opacity.
